Trauma always leaves traces.

Whether you are someone who is tortured daily by intrusive memories of the things you have experienced or someone who boxes all those memories and feelings up far away from your consciousness, trauma always leaks into everyday life. You will find yourself triggered by predictable and unpredictable reminders of what’s happened to you, and your sense of self, safety, and optimism may be altered. Beginning trauma therapy is a brave step toward reclaiming your life and restoring your sense of safety.

As an experienced trauma therapist, my areas of particular focus include sexual trauma, pregnancy/birth related trauma, relational and familial trauma, and spiritual/religious trauma. I am especially experienced in treating complex trauma (a long-term history of many different traumatic experiences) and dissociation.

The development of safety and trust in my relationship with clients is core to our trauma work together. I take a gentle approach toward trauma processing, working at a pace led by my clients. I am trained in EMDR and structural dissociation theory. I combine parts work into all types of trauma therapy.
